Be a Guest Band

We encourage and welcome band members to come early and jam with us. Jams start around 3pm and go until around 6pm and often there's a short jam session after the show
The Frontporch Stage Guest Band Criteria
We are looking for Country, Bluegrass and Gospel groups to play in our Saturday night concerts. The concerts will start the first Saturday in May and every Saturday through October.  If your group is interested in
volunteering to play on the Front Porch Stage, please follow these simple steps.

Bands scheduled to play at 6:30 pm need to arrive by 5:45pm, 
 We provide the sound system & soundman.

Playing the Frontporch is voluntary but a collection is taken  to help cover expenses for coming to Mount Ida.

We encourage Bands to bring their CD's, Tapes or any other appropriate merchandise to sell.

The Prairie Grove Band is one of our local acts that we proudly feature. They are Mark Wilborg, acoustic guitar & vocals,
 Joe Carmack on electric lead guitar & vocals, Doyle Rowland, acoustic guitar & harmony, Travis Stapp on Banjo, electric

The Hartley Family from Arkadelphia, Arkansas. One of our favorite family bands. Tom and Debbie Hartley, Daughters Anna
& Abbie, Sons Josiah, Daniel and Micah make up one of the best bluegrass bands in this region. Their mix of traditional bluegrass,

The Acousticatz, One of the best in the country.The Acousticatz have something for everyone: beautiful vocal harmonies, outstanding musicianship and extremely entertaining live shows. Their love for bluegrass music and for playing music together shines through in everything they play. Pete Brown on fiddle, mandolin and vocals and jokes, Patty LaFleur on bass and vocals, Britt McGarity on guitar and vocals and Tom Barito on Banjo and Vocals make up this great band. Dewayne Hodges, One of our own and a favorite with our Frontporch crowds. Legally blind since the mid seventies, Dewayne plays piano and creates his own accompaniment, delivers a great show with a wonderful variety of country, rock, oldies and great gospel. Dewayne was a recipient of the  2007 Durad K. Mcdaniel Award given by the American Council for the Blind. The Nichols returned to the Frontporch Stage in 2007 and brought us an outstanding show! Andy Nichols on Mandolin & Vocals, Debbie Nichols on Bass & Vocals, daughters Andrea on guitar/vocals and Leah on fiddle/vocals and special guest Kurt Stephenson on banjo. The Nichols from Fordyce bring a special brand of bluegrass gospel to the stage. Kurt brings the added dimension of being not only a great banjo player but also a great vocalist. We sure hope to have them come back next season and recommend them to be one of the great bluegrass gospel bands in Arkansas. Contact info will be available shortly.
The Ouachita River Ramblers feature Jerry Robertson and Danny Williams on Guitar, Sherman Bush on mandolin, Don Knowles on banjo and Al Crawford on Bass. The Ramblers do an outstanding mix of bluegrass,gospel and originals. The Ramblers play a really great gospel show and perform in many area churches. The Harvey Boys are from Arkadelphia. This family group features Gary Harvey (Dad) on guitar and vocals, Becky (Mom) on Bass,
Brothers John on fiddle and Seth on Mandolin. John, 14 and Seth 12 both play at a level equal to many professionals. Their shows

John Talley, Local Folk Rock & Blues singer/songwriter. John's Friends include great guitar players, harp players, banjos players
bass players who all are able to deliver a great show. John's mix of original tunes and obscure folk rock tunes gives every show
